Here’s how you can enrolLEARNERS FROM ANY AREA CAN ENROL AT HORIZON SCHOOL, AS THERE IS NO ZONING ENFORCED AS WITH STATE SCHOOLS.
In fact we have children coming from as far south as Albany and Whangaparaoa, and children have come from as far north as Wellsford. Buses are available.
Horizon School has been primarily established to provide an environment for learning with a Christian foundation. The Ministry of Education requires that a high proportion of our learners are considered preference applicants because they come from homes that have past or present connection to the Christian faith.

Step 1
Make an appointment for a school tour with our deputy principal.
Step 2
Book an enrolment interview and your child(ren) for a Try Day by filling out the form below.
Step 3
Once an offer of placement is received, complete all enrolment forms.
SCHOOL COSTS
Compulsory Costs
State-integrated schools like Horizon School provide an inclusive and cohesive community with shared values. The resulting sense of belonging is the foundation for learners to take risks in their learning with confidence. Achievement in state-integrated schools is, therefore, typically higher than in many private or state schools. We believe Horizon to be an investment in your child’s well-being and achievement and great value.
Stationery, uniforms and camp costs are additional compulsory costs.
Attendance Dues 2023
As a state-integrated school, Horizon School is owned by a Trust rather than the state. The KingsWay Trust owns and maintains our land and buildings, requiring us to charge compulsory attendance dues. The NZ Christian Proprietors Trust (NZCPT) collects these attendance dues on behalf of KingsWay Trust. We prefer automatic payments.

School Donations
At Horizon, we are committed to providing real life learning opportunities. This includes trips within the community and to Auckland, sports events and special visitors to the school. These are core to making learning exciting and relevant to our learners, but would not be possible without the majority of our parents donating to cover these expenses.
