Bachelor of Design in Fashion Design
I presented my fashion collection at NZ Fashion Week as part of the AUT Rookie Show. Following my tertiary studies I went on to work as an assistant fashion designer and pattern maker for NZ label Lonely. During this time I was part of the design and production of multiple ranges and numerous NZ fashion week events.
In 2011 I moved to the United Arab Emirates with my husband where I lived for 9 years. I taught English in a prep school for a year before having the first of my two beautiful boys. I then began to freelance as a graphic designer working from home. We were so fortunate to explore many different countries and cultures as a family while we lived in the UAE. It was an invaluable experience that broadened our views and beliefs as a family. Now back in NZ I am very excited to be part of the Horizon School staff and to some of my knowledge of design and textiles with our college team and run the school library.
